Non candy Easter ideas

As Easter draws near, I start thinking about Hannah's Easter basket. Parents whose children who have food allergies must be creative with what goes into the Basket.

Finding peanut free "safe" chocolate or candy in your local grocery seems to be an impossible feat normally let alone during holiday season.

I had a friend call me a few days ago for ideas for (non food) basket treats/toys.

I wanted to share my ideas(variety of age/gender choices) and I would love to hear yours as well :)

IDEAS
*Sidewalk chalk
*New crayons/markers
*Books(I always put 1 age appropriate Easter book in)
*Stickers
*Temp tattoos
*Playdough
*Paints
*Easter crafts(Joanne's is good place to look, age appropriate)
*Silly Bands
*Small stuffed animals
*Activity/Coloring books
*Easter themed pens/pens/notepads
*Small puzzles
*Cute Bunny/Duck Slippers
*Hair ties/nail polish
*Matchbox cars
*Movies
*CD's
*iTunes or other giftcards
*Wii or other gaming system accessories/games.
*Chapsticks/Lipgloss

I would love to hear what you are including in the baskets!!

Awesome ideas! The only thing I have that you didn't mention was Bubble stuff! I've also given mine their own garden gloves, shovels and seeds packets to plant their own flowers. =)

I put an outfit in there for the baby. Somtimes hairbands/hairbows. Flip flops are usually in the Easter basket since it's right when it starts to get warmer. A barbie. You can get cute Barbies (the non "hoochie" looking ones lol) for roughly $6 these days. Sometimes a sports ball like a football. We do coloring books occasionally. Sunglasses is a good one too!

Love the list!

All perfect ideas! I also thought of maybe kids umbrella/rainboots last night to go with the whole "Spring" theme!

Keep the ideas coming--I love hearing all your creative ideas!

Lol I love the "non hoochie barbie" comment Jess. H isn't into barbie's right now but I have seen a few and thought "what on earth" as in I would never buy that!

When my kids were younger, I found tiny Easter/Spring shaped erasers, stampers & notepads at the local party store. Chicks, bunnies, eggs, flowers, etc. I would guess that Oriental Trading Company would have things like that too. The stampers & erasers were tiny -- small enough to fit in plastic eggs, for a food-free Easter egg hunt.

Sidewalk chalk, color books, and bubbles are a must for my kiddos. Thinking of getting Fisher Price Walkie Talkies for the boys this year and putting one in each basket. I like the flower seeds idea from Tara. It would be cute in a flower pot instead of a basket.
